The Interior Ministry, through the General Directorate of Traffic, has made a global accomplishment by winning one gold and two silver awards in the Middle East and North Africa Stevie Awards.
The milestone was part of the directives of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to enhance traffic work and follow-up of the General Director of Traffic.
The Stevie Awards are dedicated to organisational creativity and excellence. They are opened to organisations and companies all over the world.
They attract annually more than 12,000 nominations from 70 countries. The gold medal was given for the Back to School Media Campaign entitled “Secure and Accident-Free Academic Year”.

Bahrain iGA adds 3 residence address eServices
MANAMA, February 2, 2021 Three new eServices allowing the public to update their residence address information have been launched on Bahrain’s National Portal, bahrain.bh, the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) has announced. The ‘Update ID Card Residential Address’, ‘Residential Address Statement’, and ‘Verify Residential Address Statement’ eServices are in line with directives by Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, calling for continuous improvements to ID card services. They add to the services previously announced by the minister to the ID eServices bundle. iGA Director of Identity and Population Registry, Shaikh Sabah bin Hamad Al Khalifa said this brings the total number of ID card and population register eServices to 38, all of which are available via the National Portal, smartphones, and other eGovernment digital channels.
