Citywide Brush Pickup to begin May 10 The Oak Ridge citywide brush pickup program will begin Monday, May 10.  Tree limbs and bagged yard clippings and leaves will be picked up, a city news release stated. City collection efforts will follow the accompanying schedule as closely as possible.The proposed schedule is a general guide and can vary considerably from the actual schedule due to weather conditions and/or the amount of participation by residents. All limbs should be placed near, but not beyond the curb, with the butt end near the street. Keep all materials off sidewalks, parking areas and out of gutters.

He ended up having a conversation about parking enforcement by the city with Jesse Hebison, who lives in his 30-foot RV on a street where there are many people just like him. “It’s supposed to be a moratorium on the 72-hour rule, Ingram said, referring to Mayor Jenny Durkan s announcement that the city’s moratorium on parking enforcement would end April 1. The city is getting weird.” 

Louisville crime: Multiple shootings reported Sunday night, LMPD says

One person is dead and another in critical condition after a series of three shootings around Louisville within 20 minutes Sunday evening, Louisville Metro Police said. Officers were first called to a shooting at about 6 p.m. in the 4100 block of W. Market, according to LMPD, and found a teenager with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A second victim, believed to be in his 30s, was found by police after reports of a shooting in the 600 block of S. 38th Street at about 6:15 p.m. That man had several gunshot wounds and was hospitalized in critical condition, police said.
