About 8.45pm on Tuesday 30 March 2021, emergency services responded to reports two men had been hit by a car while walking along the footpath on Lane Street, Broken Hill. The men, aged 19 and 49, were treated at the scene before being conveyed to Broken Hill Hospital in a serious but stable condition. The older man was later transferred to Royal Adelaide Hospital where he remains with serious head injuries.
