Attempted murder charges laid after pedestrians deliberately hit at Broken Hill
A man will appear in court today charged after allegedly deliberately driving at and hitting two pedestrians in the state’s Far West last month.
About 8.45pm on Tuesday 30 March 2021, emergency services responded to reports two men had been hit by a car while walking along the footpath on Lane Street, Broken Hill.
The men, aged 19 and 49, were treated at the scene before being conveyed to Broken Hill Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The older man was later transferred to Royal Adelaide Hospital where he remains with serious head injuries.
Police have smashed a cannabis ring involving nine hydroponic grow-houses containing 405 plants worth $1million.
Ten men were charged after the plants and nearly $40,000 cash was found in the homes in Sydney s east.
