Court orders for INTERPOL warrant against drug lord

Colombo (News 1st); Colombo Chief Magistrate Mohamed Mihail on Monday (25) ordered authorities to issue an international warrant through INTERPOL in order to arrest K. Udara Sampath, a leading drug trafficker.
Udara Sampath is listed as the 14th suspect in the case filed against Police Narcotic Bureau Officers for trafficking drugs.
Deputy Solicitor General Dileepa Peiris informed the court, the suspect had fled overseas using a forged passport.
16 suspects including officers from the Police Narcotic Breau arrested on the charge of trafficking drugs were further remanded to the 02nd of February.
