JAMSHEDPUR: The West Singhbhum police took the help of Jharkhand Jaguar and CRPF 60 battalion jawans to recover two corpses from the forested foothills in Rovauli village under Gudri police station, about 75km from the Steel City, on Tuesday.
SP Ajay Linda said that Budni Bhengra (45) and her son Daudia Bhengra (16) were killed on March 5 by four villagers Ramrai, Barai, Baga and Mangal because the woman had complained to the gram sabha that they had stolen her goat. The gram sabha in January had imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 on the four and asked them to give a goat to the woman.

Reporter for the Northern Advocate jodi.bryant@nzme.co.nz Hundreds of thousands of marine life are dead and Waipū residents are being driven out of their homes by a stench described as rotten eggs and dead bodies believed to be caused by recurring algal bloom.
What s more, a wildlife refuge within the affected area is an integral feeding zone for protected bird species.
The Waipū estuary lagoon, south of Johnson s Point, has been described as a dead zone with lifeless marine species including eels, fish and plants. What remains alive are said to be beaching themselves, gasping for breath in an attempt to escape the black oxygen-depleted waters, believed to be from trapped and rotting algal bloom.

HARIPUR: The police here on Tuesday claimed to have recovered four bodies from the Tarbela lake near Brug village in Bait Gali Union Council.
The police said the bodies were beyond recognition, but these could be of the 18 passengers who drowned when a boat capsized in Tarbela lake about 20 months back. The police said that some villagers were fishing near the main dam Tuesday afternoon when they spotted the remains of four human bodies. The police and the local people pulled out the bodies and shifted them to Haripur Trauma Centre and the families were visiting the hospital but bodies could not be recognized.
