Garminâs smartwatch is back for a second generation and the Venu 2 targets those looking for the sports tracking prowess of a Garmin but the slick feel of an Apple Watch.
Itâs not Garminâs only smartwatch â the Vivoactive 4 and Garmin Lily both offer much of the same in terms of features â but itâs the only Garmin with a full AMOLED display.
The Venu 2 brings two sizes, making it more unisex than its predecessor and an updated heart rate monitor. Thatâs at the heart of improved sleep, stress and energy tracking, and thereâs a new focus on HIIT.

When it comes to wearable tech, looks are arguably as important as features. Luckily, Garmin s $399.99 Venu 2 smartwatch excels on both fronts, starting with a gorgeous AMOLED display, a classy stainless steel bezel, and availability in different sizes and colors to suit a range of tastes. It builds on its predecessor with better battery life, more music storage, and new sports apps. It s good for anyone who likes to mix up their routine with a variety of activities like biking, running, strength training, walking, and yoga, or who wants to keep a close eye on their health metrics with quick and accurate blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and respiration rate readings, among many others. The Apple Watch Series 6 and Samsung Galaxy Watch3 offer more value with built-in voice assistants, better calling and texting capabilities, and greater third-party app support, but the Venu 2 is an attractive alternative if health and fitness are your main concerns.
