Melrose comes together to celebrate Pride Month

If one thing’s for certain, it’s that Melrose is a city full of pride.
The Melrose Human Rights Commission (HRC), along with the Melrose Chamber Member the Foundation Trust, celebrated Melrose Pride from June 17-20 with both in-person and virtual events that celebrated the work to achieve equal justice and opportunity for the LGBTQ+ community.
LBGTQ+ pride is celebrated annually each June, with pride parades, parties, workshops, and concerts around the world to recognize the impact LGBTQ+ individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally.

Earth Week 2021 in Melrose promises to be a great celebration of the city s 10 years as a Green Community. One exciting and creative new initiative debuting this year is the Litter Letter Project.
Organized by Keep Melrose Beautiful volunteers along with a cross-section of municipal departments, the Litter Letter Project provides a great way for citizens to visualize waste in their community, spawning greater awareness and action.
