Palatine Township held its Annual Town Meeting April 13, 2021.
This was the 171st annual meeting even though the Township has been in existence for 172 years. The Township did not hold an annual meeting in 2020 due to the state of Illinois shut down. The Annual Town Meeting is held every year on the second Tuesday in April to conduct Township business. Township residents, participating in their local government, are welcome to meet and speak with their Township Officials.
Attendees were presented with the Supervisor s Annual Financial Report and the Road District Treasurer s Annual Report. The evening also included a poignant In Memoriam presentation dedicated to Andrew Ostrowski, our beloved Township Bus Driver who passed unexpectedly in 2020. Concerts continue at the Levoy Theatre
MILLVILLE - The Levoy Theatre plans to offer a variety of performances in the coming months.
The schedule, through June 4, includes:
Laurel Canyon Band, a tribute to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, 6 and 9 p.m. April 17, tickets $35 and $45.
Broken Arrow, a tribute to Neil Young, 6 and 9 p.m. April 24, tickets $35 and $45.
The E Street Shuffle, a tribute to the Boss/Springsteen, 6 and 9 p.m. May 1, tickets $35 and $45.
The PettyBreakers, a tribute to Tom Petty, 8 p.m. May 22, tickets $29 to $34.
Members of the 106th Precinct on Friday thanked the Howard Beach community for donating hundreds of Easter baskets to the less fortunate this year.
“Thank you to the Howard Beach/Lindenwood Civic Association and Howard Beach Moms for the Easter Basket donations to churches and shelters within our community,” grateful cops wrote on Facebook. “So many children will have a Happy Easter thanks to all your generosity.”
The Howard Beach Lindenwood Civic returned the favor.
“The HBLCIVIC/HBMom Easter Basket Drive was an enormous success.
