Santam s CEO Lize Lambrechts is set to step down from her position in 2022, which will be seven years after her 2015 appointment.
In its announcement on Wednesday, Santam s board and executive team thanked Lambrechts for her exemplary leadership and valuable contribution to the company.
Santam said it would begin the process to appoint her successor in due course and that Lambrechts and the board would ensure the incoming CEO s smooth transition.
Lambrechts succeeded Ian Kirk as Santam s CEO and her experience prior that appointment includes heading up Sanlam s South African retail business, SPF. She is an actuary who also graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics at the University of Stellenbosch.
