A giant crocodile has been spotted swimming at a popular beach, just metres away from the shore.
The reptile, which is believed to be up to four-metres long, was seen floating over the waves at Farnborough Beach, in central Queensland on Thursday morning.
David Devine, a local fisherman, filmed the crocodile s unexpected visit and said he d never seen one in the area in all of his ten years of fishing there.
He said he initially thought the croc was a large log floating in the surf.

A 1.63m crocodile was removed from a pond near the Emu Park State School on Wednesday night.
The crocâs removal by the Department of Environment and Science came as a different 3.5m crocodile was spotted on Farnborough Beach on Thursday.
Department of Environment and Science Southern Wildlife Operations manager Frank Mills said a member of the public saw what he or she thought was a crocodile in a pond on Hill Street, and reported it to the Livingstone Shire Council.
âWildlife officers confirmed the presence of the juvenile crocodile in the pond on Hill Street and advised the nearby Emu Park State School and installed recent warning signs at the site,â he said.
