Brindisi sent a letter to Lamica and the village board in late March stating that his client had not yet been given a chance to see or respond to the complaint and calling for a retraction of any and all defamatory statements against him. The letter warned of the possibility of legal action against the village.
Brindisi’s letter also included a request under the Freedom of Information Law for copies of any complaints against Conover, investigations into the complaint or complaints and copies of any policies and procedures he is alleged to have violated, as well as copies of any written notifications informing Conover he is the potential subject of disciplinary action as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement. Ilion firefighters are represented by the Ilion Firefighters Association, Local 1185.

ILION, N.Y. The Ilion Firefighters Association released a statement on Monday with regards to the change in command structure at the Ilion Fire Department that NEWSChannel 2 first reported on February 25.
In the statement, the Association acknowledged that it is aware of the serious allegations that have been made involving various members.

According to store management, Franco s Pizza in Ilion was robbed last week. Store management said thousands of dollars were stolen from the property.

Ilion, N.Y. - According to store management, Franco s Pizza in Ilion was robbed last week. Store management said thousands of dollars were stolen from the property.
Ilion Police did respond to the larceny call. Francos says the community has overwhelmingly shown their support. A Go Fund Me page has been started already over 4 thousand dollars has been donated.
Francos has had a history of generosity in the community, feeding those in need on Christmas and thanksgiving. A gift they will not be able to provide this year.
