Sony is Hiring XDEV Producers to Work with Developers in Japan and Asia

Thursday, May 13, 2021 When Sony decided to merge JAPAN Studio into Team Asobi and move external production to a more global PlayStation Studios location, players were naturally concerned as to how this would affect titles created in the country. However, Sony seems to be making good on their promise to create content suited to the Japanese market by hiring producers to work with independent game developers in Japan and Asia. The roles will see the successful candidates working with the best independent game developers in Japan and Asia to find, evaluate, produce, and launch their video games. The producers will be involved all the way from the initial concept stage through to the games’ releases. The hope is that ongoing partnerships can be formed between developers from these regions and PlayStation Studios XDEV to develop “high quality” PlayStation exclusives. The company is currently looking for a Producer, Technical Producer, and Senior Producer to fulfill these roles.

PS5 Pre-Orders Took 20 Minutes to Sell Out in China Share: It took just 20 minutes for PlayStation 5 pre-orders to sell out in China, with the system slated for a 15th May release. Sony confirmed the date during a livestream earlier this week, which also saw confirmation of domestically developed character action title Lost Soul Aside for the next-gen console. Launch window titles will include Genshin Impact, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, although Niko Partners notes that only miHoYo’s title has been licensed thus far. Thus far, PlayStation has committed over 50,000 units to the region, but with supply constraints worldwide it’s almost guaranteed that demand will once again exceed supply. Sony has warned that the situation is unlikely to improve in the near-future, despite the next-gen system outperforming its record-breaking PS4 when launch aligned.

Lost Soul Aside PS5 Version is Coming Too, New Gameplay

Ninja Gaiden” was so well received it sparked a bidding war between several companies. Sony won that war, providing support to Ultizerogames as part of the China Hero Project and turning the game into a timed PS4 exclusive. As development has crept on well past the game’s initial release window of 2018, it only made sense to bring the game to PS5 as well. Set ten years after a war unleashed monsters across the world, protagonist Kazer has been declared a fugitive. His companion is a crystal dragon-like creature from an ancient race, Arena; the creature can transform into a variety of weapons, a hoverboard, slingshot, wings, or pretty much anything that will help. Kazer is hunting for mysterious crystals for an unknown reason but he meets plenty of opposition. The last we saw of the title was updated gameplay in 2018. That’s now been rectified with a new 18 minute video showing the game in action.
