(Supplied) Up to 100 teenage repeat offenders could be considered for GPS monitoring under the Palaszczuk government s proposed tracker trial, according to Queensland authorities. As public hearings continue in regional Queensland into the sweeping youth justice changes, a joint departmental brief from the Queensland Police Service (QPS) and Department of Youth Justice to the parliamentary committee probing the bill, has shed further light on the measures. Taking into consideration the number of recidivist youth offenders aged 16 to 17 years in the trial locations for the period 1 January to 31 December, 2020, it is estimated that up to 100 youths may be considered for electronic monitoring (subject to the court s discretion to determine their suitability),
