India lodge complaint as Siraj and Bumrah face racial abuse
By: ANI
New Delhi: The Indian team has lodged an official complaint after the crowd at the Sydney Cricket Ground racially abused pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj over the second and third day of the ongoing Pink Test between India and Australia. While the matter was brought up with the ICC match officials and the security officers at the SCG immediately after the game, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is furious with the turn of events. Speaking to ANI, a BCCI official in the know of developments said that the Indian cricket board stands with the boys as such behaviour is unacceptable .

Steve Smith is back in the runs in the third Test at the SCG, with a couple of late wickets backing up his drought-breaking century on day two against India.
The tourists are 2-96 in response to what was comfortably Australia s best batting performance of the Test series.
Smith scored a sparkling 131 his first Test century since the Ashes in 2019 and his first in Australia since the 2017 Boxing Day Test, before his ball-tampering ban.

I think it s boiling away, some stuff is starting to happen, Paine said during virtual media interaction when asked why there has been less than usual chatter other than the Rishabh Pant-Matthew Wade banter at the MCG. It will be fascinating not just from cricketing point of view but also the tension boiling under the surface with lot of unnamed sources coming out from their camp as to where they are going to play their fourth Test, where they don t want to go ..So let s see how it goes, the Australian skipper said.
