Speaking on Friday s Late Late Show, 30-year-old Kerslake, who starred alongside Nika in RTÉ2 s Irish comedy-drama television series,
Can t Cope, Won t Cope, said she lived a very full life . When people bring her up it s actually really nice and really comforting - when people do it with tact that is - because it s like Yes Nika was here and she lived a very full life. She was a powerhouse.
Asked if she still felt Nika s presence, Kerslake responded, For me, yeah. When I was up in Belfast and I was seeing lots of signs and things that would make me laugh, it made me feel like I was close to her, or she was telling me I was on the right path, or guiding me.

Smother, which will air on RTÉ One next Sunday night.
Shot on location in Lahinch, Liscannor, Spanish Point, Fanore, Ennistymon and Lisdoonvarna, the six-part drama is described as a “domestic noir thriller,” and is a co-production with BBC.
It was filmed last year in adherence with pandemic guidelines. The high-end production featured a number of locals as crew members and extras.

Mr Selfridge, created the family thriller which sees her tight-knit family of characters gradually unearth deeply buried secrets and live with their unintended consequences.

But nothing can compete with her hilarious nickname for ITV s This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby - who has a very public crush on Dervla s actor husband Rupert Penry-Jones - and later, we will get to that.
First, though, Dervla stars in new RTÉ/BBC drama Smother, a family thriller that opens with her matriarch, Val Ahern s, 50th birthday party and the mysterious death of her despicable husband Denis (Stuart Graham). Their three daughters are played by Seána Kerslake (Can t Cope, Won t Cope), Gemma-Leah Devereux (The Tudors) and Niamh Walsh (Holby City).
