The trading agreement is in accordance with the Spectrum Trading Guidelines issued by
the Department of Telecommunications and is subject to the requisite regulatory and
statutory approvals. The aggregate value for the right to use this spectrum is Rs. 1,497
crores, inclusive of present value of associated deferred payment liablity of Rs. 459
crores, subject to any transaction related adjustments.
With this trading of right to use spectrum, RJIL will have 2X15MHz of spectrum in the
800MHz band in Mumbai circle and 2X10MHz of spectrum in the 800MHz band in Andhra
Pradesh and Delhi circles, thereby further consolidating its spectrum footprint in these
Union Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers D. V. Sadananda Gowda inaugurated the 11th Edition of India Chem 2021 in New Delhi with the theme India: Global Manufacturing hub for chemicals and petrochemicals. He stated that the Indian chemicals and petrochemicals industry is growing to new heights, and informed that an investment of Rs 8 lakh crore is anticipated in the sector by 2025.
During his speech, Sadananda Gowda also appreciated that Department and FICCI has organised the event. He added that the growth in the chemical and petrochemicals industry is also contributing to the Prime Minister s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. He informed that Government has launched 12 PLI scheme for different sectors which will directly or indirectly benefit the chemicals sector. He also stated that the Government is prioritising the sector and in the Budget 2021-21, the import duty on Naphtha has been reduced from 4.0% to 2.5%.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Saturday said the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for government jobs recruitment is likely to be held around September this year. He said the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) for conducting the CET has been constituted with the approval of the Union Cabinet. As a major boon for the youth, particularly the government job aspirants, a Common Eligibility Test (CET) will be conducted across the country from this year to screen and shortlist candidates for recruitment to central government jobs, said Singh, the Minister of State for Personnel. The first such test is likely to be held in the later part of 2021, probably around September or so, he told PTI here.
Ministry of Power, vide Gazette Notification dt. 9 March 2021 notified Central Transmission Utility of India (CTUIL), a Government Company and wholly owned Subsidiary of POWERGRID, as the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) to undertake and discharge all functions of CTU pursuant to the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 or any regulations or directions of the Central Commission or Authority or any other directions or functions prescribed by the Central Government in that regard.
POWERGRID shall continue to be a deemed Transmission Licensee under the Act and discharge functions incidental and connected therewith and would also undertake functions as directed by the Central Government or Authority in that regard. This Gazette Notification shall be effective from 1 April 2021.
