Summer Fishing Opportunities Kick Off In Oklahoma
This weekend kicks off a summer of fun fishing opportunities in Oklahoma.
Oklahoma s Free Fishing Days take place Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6.
During Oklahoma s Free Fishing days, anyone can go fishing without a state fishing license.
Then starting on Tuesday, June 8 the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation will start hosting free fishing clinics for all ages at the Oklahoma Aquarium Complex Zebco Pond.
Folks will get hands-on training, like learning how to cast, tie knots and fish identification, plus plenty of time to fish.
Fishing licenses are not required for the clinics and rods, reels and tackle will be provided.

For a second year in a row, the ovid pandemic has hit the dimmer switch on one of the annual highlights of Oregon fishing.
June 5 and 6 are Free Fishing Weekend, which means that no licenses, permits or tags are required to fish or go clamming or crabbing in Oregon.
While additional no-license days have been added in Oregon – Feb. 13 and 14 and Nov. 26 and 27 this year – the June weekend was the biggie for decades.
The tradition continues, but as with 2020 when Free Fishing Weekend was on June 6 and 7, the happenings that were the hallmarks of previous years have been canceled.

Indiana residents can enjoy the outdoors and go fishing for free this weekend!
There are many areas around the Tri-State to put your fishing skills to the test, but if you are 17 and older, you must purchase your fishing license first. However, there are a few days this year when a license is not required. Two of those days happen to be this weekend, June 5th and 6th.
The two Free Fishing Days kick off National Fishing and Boating Week, June 5-13, a national celebration that highlights the importance of recreational fishing and boating, according to Indiana DNR.

This weekend is Free Freshwater Fishing Weekend in Massachusetts on June 5 and 6! No license is required to fish any public lake, pond, reservoir, stream or river in Massachusetts from 12 a.m. Saturday, June 5, until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 6. The rest of the year, you need a license to fish in fresh water if you are 15 or older. If you’re 15 to 17 or 70 and older, your license is free.
