NC MedAssist Offers A Welcome Change To The Meaning Of Valentine’s Day And Offers A Solution To Finding That Perfect Gift
February 4, 2021
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (News Release) – NC MedAssist, a non-profit pharmacy that primarily serves low-income, uninsured North Carolina residents with prescription and over-the counter-medication, is taking Valentine’s Day to a new level this year.
A holiday that originally started centuries ago as a festival to celebrate the coming of spring and the lottery of pairing men and women, is now thought of as a day of love and romance across the world. Each year, people scramble trying to find the perfect gift for that special someone in their lives.
NC MedAssist is North Carolina’s only charitable, mail-order pharmacy. With uncertainty surrounding the novel coronavirus and its lingering effects, our mission is more critical now than ever this holiday season.
This year has been difficult for many people, and the financial hardship that the pandemic has caused has hit close to home. Over 280,000 North Carolina residents have lost their jobs and consequently their health insurance, leaving them and their families without access to life-saving medications. These individuals are hurting the most and require the support of their community and neighbors.
Imagine being unable to afford the medication that will keep you alive.
