Family and friends hailed the life of physician, radio DJ and health activist Dr Sindi van Zyl at a private memorial service on Thursday.

Van Zyl was known as the people s doctor for her work educating and preventing mother-to-child HIV transmission.
Her death left many South Africans in shock, including those she assisted with medical advice on social media.
Sindi would do a lot of free medical consultations on social media and when she did public health. She worked day and night. Sindi did not sleep,” said her friend Lerato Masemola.

An Australian television host has slammed Meghan Markle, urging the Duchess of Sussex to shut up after the royal s friends revealed the real reason she was not attending Prince Philip s funeral.
Markle had not travelled to London because she doesn t want to be the centre of attention at the service, her friends reportedly said.

Prince Philip’s funeral processions will see the royal family will be divided in household bubbles due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This means that the Queen will be sitting separately from the rest of the family however she will not be alone as a royal household member of her staff will be sitting with her.
It is expected that the late Duke of Edinburgh’s private secretary Brigadier Archie Miller-Bakewell will be seated next to the Queen.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson insisted that the ceremony will be observing Covid-19 guidelines.
The Duke of Edinburgh, a keen motor enthusiast, helped a team of engineers create the specially modified vehicle, which will carry his coffin on its final journey on Saturday.
