Pakistan Customs reactivates complaint cell
Deputy collectors directed to make surprise visits to check posts

Quetta Customs Collector Irfan Javed has issued directions to reactivate the complaint cell in the Customs Collectorate to address the issues faced by masses and traders related to Pakistan Customs.
In a press briefing on Wednesday, Javed vowed to ensure transparency by initiating proper punitive action against those officials found involved in any kind of illegal activity.
The collector said the names, phone numbers and email addresses of the officers posted in complaint cell would be made public, adding that the masses could directly access him for addressing their complaints.

The Balochistan government has planned to promote the mining, energy and tourism sectors apart from coastal areas of the province for boosting the revenue of the province.
While speaking to the media, an official of the Balochistan government said that a road network was being laid in every district and various development projects were being initiated under the Quetta development package.
“The government has begun development programmes in all sectors of every district and the completion of these projects will not only benefit the local people but also bring development and prosperity to the region,” he said. “The state s resources were an asset of the people and negligence would not be tolerated in delaying the work on development projects.”

He stated this during a visit of a parliamentary delegation to the border town Chaman. The members of the delegation include Special Representative of the Prime Minister on Afghanistan Affairs M. Sadiq, Senator Shandana Gulzar and MNA Salahuddin Ayubi.
