Siskiyou County has seen an increase in the number of deaths and serious injuries so far this year as a result of people not wearing their seat belts, said Yreka California Highway Patrol public information officer Greg Perkins.
The latest fatal accident happened Saturday night, Jan. 23 on Highway 96, when the unrestrained driver of a Dodge pickup went over an embankment and was ejected from his vehicle, Perkins said.
“Last year (Yreka CHP) investigated six fatal collisions, five involved unrestrained occupants,” Perkins said. “In the first four weeks of this year we are at half that number and 100% of the deceased have been unrestrained. I’ve been in this PIO position for four weeks and I already feel like a broken record with the seatbelt message.”

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday rejected a post-arrest bail application of a man charged with disseminating child pornographic content on social media.
The decision was announced by Justice Tariq Mehood Jahangiri.
The accused, Irfan Sarwar, had sought bail after his arrest under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (Peca).
As per the First Information Report (FIR), Irfan Sarwar created/operated Facebook and WhatsApp groups for the sole purpose of uploading/sharing and disseminating child pornographic videos/pictures and was also found to be the administrator of a Facebook group.

The impact of child pornography on society is remarkable and enforces the normalisation of child exploitation by way of providing them safety and protection. The impact of child pornography on children is unimaginable and has a long-term daunting consequence on the child, says a six-page judgment, authored by newly appointed IHC Judge Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri.
