The bulk carrier Algoma Spirit remained at the Iroquois Lock after it sustained damage touching ground on the St. Lawrence River Saturday night.
St. Lawrence Seaway officials said no one was injured in the incident.

The ship was not blocking maritime traffic.
In an email to The Recorder and Times, St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation spokesman Nicolas Poirier-Quesnel said the Algoma Spirit touched ground at Buoy A116, in the Iroquois area “and was then instructed to proceed to (the) upper wall of Iroquois lock for inspection.
