Winx Club, which emphasises female friendship and follows a team of powerful fairies, the live-action take will take an edgier leap with V
ampire Diaries creator, Brian Young.
Interestingly, the series will dive into the ramifications of war across generations that come with a cost, for the characters, their sense of friendship, and mutual support.
The new series will follow fire fairy Bloom, played by Abigail Cowen, who enrolls at the Alfea School for fairies, a magical boarding school. Fairies live in a separate realm from humans and different fairies possess different powers.
