KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Repairs to the water system in an area of Kalamazoo has led to a Boil Water Advisory. It affects areas along Portage St. near Stockbridge Ave and Collins St.
The work there resulted in a temporary loss of pressure. The Kalamazoo County Health and Community Services Department says any tap water intended for drinking or ingestion should be boiled before use. The precautionary advisory is expected to be lifted by Sunday.
Here’s the full list of affected areas:
Portage Street – From Stockbridge Avenue (southern boundary) to Collins Street (northern boundary), both sides of the street. Does not include the northeast and southeast corner of Washington Avenue and Portage Street, and the southeast corner of Dewey Avenue and Portage Street. Also on Portage from Collins Street (southern boundary) to Lake Street (northern boundary), west side of the street only. Does not include the southwest corner of Lake S
KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) The city of Kalamazoo has issued a boil water advisory as of Saturday morning for neighboring areas around Dewey Avenue.
The advisory comes as the city is currently in the process of repairing the water system on Dewey Avenue. The precautionary advisory was declared by the Kalamazoo County Health and Community Services Department for all water intended for drinking and any other consumptive uses.
The affected areas include:
Portage Street â From Stockbridge Avenue (southern boundary) to Collins Street (northern boundary), both sides of the street. Does not include the southeast corner of Washington Avenue and Portage Street. Also on Portage from Collins Street (southern boundary) to Lake Street (northern boundary), east side of the street only.
