22 Timothy Deuce Spurlock First Recruit To Show Photos of Live Visit

Jun 4, 2021 The first pictures of recruits visiting Boston College are starting to emerge, with 22 outside linebacker Timothy Deuce Spurlock II from Madison Academy (AL) tweeting that he had just completed his visit with the Eagles.  Recruiting has been held only virtually for the past fifteen months, but the dead period was lifted on June 1st that allowed recruits to fan out across the country to check out programs courting them. A number of recruits have already scheduled their official visits with the Eagles, but Spurlock is the first recruit to post photos from his visit.  BC Bulletin spoke with Spurlock shortly after his return from the trip. It was a great visit, he said. I liked everything I saw. The three star recruit also has offers from Mississippi State, Pitt, and Washington State.

Jun 1, 2021 Today is the official end of the recruiting dead period for college athletics. Since the outbreak of COVID-19 last March recruits have been banned from interacting with college staff in person, in an effort to curb the outbreak and kept both parties safe. This has forced coaching staffs to be creative to grab the attention of these recruits Zoom interviews have been numerous, and the staff have been built creative virtual tours of the campus and facilities. Now, with vaccinations in place, positive cases decreasing, hopefully, those virtual days are in the past. Not only was the COVID protocol tough to maneuver on the recruiting trail, but Boston College was also at a disadvantage during this past year and two months. Jeff Hafley was just starting his first spring practices as a head coach when everything was shut down.
