Amber Nichols was promoted to general manager of the Capital City Go-Go on Friday, the G-League team of the Washington Wizards. She becomes just the second female to ascend to a G-League GM position.
On Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported that Amber Nichols was named the Capital City Go-Go’s General Manager. She was previously the team’s assistant GM and replaces Pops Mensah-Bonsu, who left to pursue other opportunities.

The move makes Nichols the second female GM of a G-League team. The first was Tori Miller of the CP Skyhawks, the Atlanta Hawks’ affiliate.
