Restaurant and food service businesses preparing to offer outdoor dining on Friday need to make sure their COVID response plans are in order, says the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit.
Dr. Wajid Ahmed, the regionâs Medical Officer of Health, pointed out that regulations require such businesses be able to show their plan âtakes into consideration all the COVID-related measures.â

The Health Unit’s allocation of COVID-19 vaccines has reached capacity at two pop-up locations in the city.
Health Unit CEO Theresa Marentette says as of 1:00pm they have reached their allocation and will not be taking any more patients.

“We are pleased with the excellent community response to the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit Mobile Pop Up Clinics in the N9A and N9C area codes,” Marentette said. “We have now reached the end of our vaccine allocation for these clinics and will not be taking in any new clients.”
