The story finds the small-town bank teller drawn into the adventure of a lifetime when a mysterious woman recruits him to join a crew of Interpol’s most wanted criminals, attempting to heist a sequence of legendary, impossible-to-crack safes across Europe.

That roster includes, of course, this year’s recent hit
Army Of The Dead, which marked the beginning of what’s now looking to be the Netflix phase of Snyder’s career. Said new digs are obviously spurred in part by Snyder’s clear unhappiness with how everything surrounding
Justice League and even the apparently amicable and supportive (even, arguably, indulgent) release of
The Hollywood Reporter today: “For us, it was so important to find a partnership that was based on mutual respect. The creative process works best when everybody trusts each other and you can take chances and be creative.”
Zack Snyder is clearly not finished with the
Army Of The Dead universe. A prequel (more details on that one here) is already on the way alongside an anime spin-off series, and he s also now developing a film sequel.
It s all part of a big new deal that Snyder and producing partner/wife Deborah Snyder have signed with
Dead host Netflix, which will see their The Stone Quarry Productions making all manner of projects for the streaming service. Buried in a
Hollywood Reporter story on the deal is a mention of Snyder working on a
Dead sequel with co-writer Shay Hatten.
