Ghaziabad: Two persons with multiple cases pending against them were found murdered in Ghaziabad in the past 24 hours. While a 29-year-old man from Delhi was shot dead in Sahibabad a little after midnight on Sunday, the body of a 27-year-old youth was found a kilometre away from his home in Muradnagar on Sunday morning. In the first case, Delhi resident Amit, who had been to jail in 2018 in a case of gambling, was on his way home when two men on a white scooter intercepted him around 12.30am on Sunday. Gyanendra Singh, SP (city 2), said police received a call about the murder from a passerby.

GHAZIABAD: A 19-year-old man has been allegedly killed by his girlfriend’s brother, who was unhappy with their relationship, with the help of two friends. Police said the trio attacked Karan Kumar with a blunt object and slit his throat with a knife. His body was found at a farm in Khanpur Japti village on Wednesday. All three accused were arrested on Thursday, police said. Karan Kumar, according to the police, was a student of a private college in Ghaziabad and lived in Puja Colony in Loni’s Tronica City. Dr Iraj Raza, SP (rural) told TOI that Karan was in a relationship with the girl who lives in the same locality. “The investigation revealed that Amit the girl’s brother was against their relationship. Amit had threatened his sister and Karan with dire consequences if they didn’t stop talking to each other,” he said.

The accused were identified as Rafique, Rizwan, Zuber, Abdul Rehman Anas and Sagar. GHAZIABAD: Ghaziabad police busted an illegal arms manufacturing factory and arrested six people on Monday. Five country-made pistols and some rounds of live cartridges, besides several finished and semi-finished parts used in making guns, were seized by the Muradnagar and Tronica city police teams. The accused were identified as Rafique, Rizwan, Zuber, Abdul Rehman Anas and Sagar. While the first four were arrested by the Tronica city police team, Anas and Sagar were arrested by Muradnagar police. SP rural Iraj Raza said that first the Tronica city police nabbed four accused from Rafique’s house where they made the weapons. “During questioning, they told police that Anas and Sagar would further supply the weapons in the rural areas of the district and in Meerut,” the SP said, adding that working on a tip off, the Muradnagar police arrested Anas and Sagar and seized five pistols from them.
