David S. Goyer was involved with a remake. By 2020, we learned that David Bruckner, who directed the Netflix film

We’ve known for a while that director David Bruckner was set to remake Clive Barker’s 1987 classic
Hellraiser. Today via our pals at Bloody Disgusting, we get word that Bruckner’s upcoming, wrapped-in-secrecy reboot (courtesy of Spyglass Media) has been picked up by Hulu.
No word on a premiere date, casting, plot details - nothin’! And this is not to be confused with the
Hellraiser series currently in development from David Gordon Green, Michael Dougherty and executive producer Clive Barker, and which is headed to HBO Max.
Hellraiser there have been since Doug Bradley’s Pinhead first terrified audiences back in 1987. Well, now there’s another to add to the list with the news that Spyglass Media are going back to the beginning to remake
Hellraiser for Hulu.
