The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office today reported the arrests of 42-year-old Sean Alexander and 20-year-old Mackenzie Schroeder. They were in a vehicle that was stopped along I-90 near Dover by officers armed with a search warrant that covered the vehicle and its occupants, Alexander s home in Rochester, and another vehicle. A spokesman says Alexander was caught possessing 24.5 grams of heroin when he was searched while being processed into the Olmsted County Adult Detention. The searches of his home in the 500 block of 3rd Street Southwest and the second vehicle also led to the seizure of another 39 grams of heroin, over 13 ounces of marijuana, about five grams of marijuana wax, along with a variety of items associat

A criminal complaint filed in Olmsted County Court charges 32-year-old General Mayern with second-degree assault and terroristic threats. He also faces misdemeanor theft and assault charges in the case. According to the charges, Mayern and another man came to his sister s home in northwest Rochester in the early morning hours of October 11th last year and requested to speak to her husband in private. The victim told police he went outside with the two men and Mayen then pulled a gun from his pants and was holding it against his cheek when the second man struck him on the head.

Dakota County Teenager Killed in Snowmobile Crash Get our free mobile app Brainerd, MN (KROC-AM News) - A weekend snowmobile crash in the Brainerd Lakes claimed the life of a Dakota County teenager. The Cass County Sheriff s Office says the 18-year-old man from Mendota was driving a snowmobile that crashed into the rocky shore on Birch Island in Gull Lake late Friday night. A friend of the victim performed CPR before he was airlifted to a hospital in St. Cloud where he was pronounced dead. The name of the victim has not been released. Gull Lake is located just north of Brainerd. The deadly incident occurred on the south end of the lake near both Madden’s and Cragun’s Resorts.
