When it comes to design, it’s very important to take into consideration the client’s taste, lifestyle and budget before you even start,” said Shepert. “We don’t take over. We work with the client and try to incorporate the things they already have and love.”

hCorker floats on Theatre North West announced last week that it has added an additional week to its funny, powerful hit Corker. Before the announcement there were only 81 seats available for the remaining 13 performances, the theatre can now make up to 1,300 more tickets available. Holding hit shows over is not unusual at Theatre North West – last year three plays were held over for extra shows. Corker is a Canadian play written by Wendy Lill, one of the country’s most celebrated playwrights. It centres around Merit MacPhee – a top civil servant, her family and a young man named Corker. The play is funny in parts and incredibly powerful in others, and features a stellar cast of talented actors.

Government as part of the province’s economic recovery plan. The Exploration Place and Theatre NorthWest each received a grant of $50,000. Meanwhile, The Community Arts Council of Prince George was given $35,575, Two Rivers Gallery received $30,000 and $10,000 went to Method Dance Society. The grants, provided by the B.C. Arts Council, are to support artists and organizations that have been impacted by recent public health orders and closures. To support the pivots, the B.C. government is providing more than $194,000 in grants to seven artists and organizations across the North.
