Regardsmaree won here on Australia Day. He was wide from the jump and won arrogantly. It’s no great price today but he should be winning. Is building a nice record.
Mystery Shot’s first-up failure was too bad to be true but there wasn’t anything seriously amiss. Expect him to bounce back and run well. Blinkers go on first time which could straighten him up.

Artorius firmed in Blue Diamond betting after his brilliant Sandown win but the promising youngster is far from certain of tackling next month s $1.5 million event.
Artorius firmed from $51 to $15 in the Blue Diamond market after cruising to a 4½ length win in the Ladbrokes Switch Handicap (1300m) at only his second start.
Co-trainer Sam Freedman and jockey Mark Zahra agreed Artorius might be better suited to races over 1400m and further rather than the 1200m of the Blue Diamond.

As the third test got underway in Sydney, it was only fitting the big market move on Thursday morning came for a horse called Second Slip.
The four-year-old Will Clarken trained gelding went up $12 with one betting operator on Wednesday, was soon $6.50 across the board, and is now into $4.60 with Sportsbet ahead of his first Australian start at Murray Bridge on Saturday.
“I think the $12 might have been a bit overs and the keen trial watchers would have definitely been into that,” Clarken said when quizzed about the plunge.
“He’s jumped out three times and gone well all three jumpouts.”
