Among these schools are Armidale Secondary College (pictured), Ballina Coast High School and Arthur Phillip High School. The new and innovative Ballina school which opened in 2019 has a total of 63 new classrooms, ready to take on more students, along with six outdoor learning spaces. The school has become known quickly for its impressive indoor sports and community centre with four sports courts which are open to the public. As a community, Ballina has benefited from the joint-use project which is a first of its kind in Regional NSW. Further south, the first high-rise public high school stands tall. The 17-storey school is large enough to educate 2000 students.

Lotterywest grant boosts Ellenbrook Youth Centre by $2.05 million In addition to McGowan Government’s $1.8 million WA Recovery Plan investment Ellenbrook Youth Centre supports children and young people aged between 12-25 The Centre will house employment and mental health services for young people  The State Government through Lotterywest’s COVID-19 Relief Fund is contributing more than $2.05 million towards a youth centre to support young people in Ellenbrook. The grant comes on top of the McGowan Government’s investment of $1.8 million for youth projects as part of the WA Recovery Plan, which takes the State’s contribution to more than $3.85 million towards the Ellenbrook Youth Centre.
