The president made the remarks during talks with visiting speaker of Iran s Islamic Shura Council, Mohammad Bagher Ghlibaf. Assad stressed that Iran has been a key partner for Syria and has stood alongside the Syrian people in facing terrorism. He pointed out that coordination in the fight against terrorist groups in Syria has yielded positive results, noting that it will continue until the full liberation of territories and the defeat of terrorist organizations.
