Salvation Army In Tyler Offering Shelter From Cold Temps
We re expecting some very cold temperatures this weekend as another winter weather blast is coming to East Texas which could present a problem for some who have no place to rest or for those without heat in their residences.
That s why the Salvation Army in Tyler is extending their hours to allow folks who need a warm place to relax for awhile can do so
The Salvation Army will allow people to come in from the cold beginning at 9:00 AM until Noon at their social services building at 633 N. Broadway. You can come in and get warm for a few hours and if you choose to stay past Noon, they will allow you to stay in the shelter without having to check in for the night.

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Christmas brunch might have looked a little different at the Salvation Army in Tyler. However, like every other year, they still made sure everyone who wanted a meal was fed. Everyone was welcome to show up and grab a boxed meal to-go on Christmas morning from 10:30 - 11:30a. In year’s past , the Salvation Army hosted a large community meal in their cafeteria. With Covid-19, that just wasn’t possible in 2020.

Richard Paul Loughlin and Wilma Walker Loughlin began dating in 1989.  During the four years they dated Richardâs persistence in asking Wilma to marry him paid off. He would joke âOn the fourth time she said YES!â The two married at the First Baptist Church in Whitehouse on June 23, 1993. Â
During the 31 years they were together, Richard gave Wilma the world and Wilma poured her energy into providing him a loving home and helping him build a successful C.P.A firm.  They often commented on what a wonderful life they had together. The two shared a love of travel, dancing, pinochle and volunteer work in Henderson and the surrounding community.  Together, they established a large group of friends to share in the activities they so enjoyed.
