The WSU Access Center is hosting a Disability Awareness Symposium from March 29 through April 2.
The event is sponsored by the Access Center, the Disabled Students and Allies Club and University Recreation. It will cover topics on mental and physical health, with the main theme being “Fitness for All: Inclusive Fitness and Sport,” according to the website.
The symposium will provide workshops to address mindfulness and nutrition. There will also be an offering of adaptive physical events including yoga, zumba, weightlifting and rock climbing, according to the website.
Each day will have at least one seminar and an adaptive class offered over Zoom. There will be in-person classes at the Chinook building if individuals have a reservation, according to the website.
