MADISON, WI (WTAQ) Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Officials officials are on the lookout for a mysterious illness that has been killing songbirds in the eastern Midwest.
Dr. Lindsey Long is a veterinarian with the DNR and says it hasn’t been seen in Wisconsin yet, but they’re staying vigilant.
“There is an illness that they’re trying to investigate that mostly impacts juvenile or or fledgling crackles, blue jays, robins and starlings.”
Long told WTAQ. “We are making sure to stay updated if anyone sees anything.”
The illness has a number of specific symptoms you can watch out for.
