It occurred to me recently, though, that I’ve never written a post about it; I’ve just poked and prodded at it. That’s been a big oversight on my part, and it changes now.
Family Strengths Network And Las Cumbres Community Services Team Up To Support Families

Remember the fracas in June 2020 over the awarding of a Los Alamos County contract meant to fund family resource programs?
Family Strengths Network (FSN) had been funded by the County since 1999 under one-year contracts. Instead, in 2020, the County instituted a three-year contract and awarded the full amount of funding to Las Cumbres Community Services. An outpouring of support for FSN, including nearly 100 public comments to the County Council caused them to step back and rethink the process.
This story has a happy ending, with both organizations receiving funding through two separate RFP processes.
What is it like to live with BPD?
It is easy to feel overwhelmed, confused, scared and exhausted when you live with BPD. Generally speaking, people with BPD struggle to regulate emotions. Emotions can feel very intense, come on very quickly and take a long time to settle. Often people with this condition have a strong fear of rejection or abandonment that can cause immense distress.
As people with this condition often have quickly-changing emotions, one moment life can feel amazing and the next it can feel terrifying. If I’m not using techniques to manage how I feel, then my emotions can colour my thoughts and my perception of the world.

ROSEVILLE, Minn., Feb. 25, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Nystrom & Associates, Ltd., one of the Nation s largest behavioral health and substance use disorder providers announces the opening of its new clinic in Roseville at 2680 N. Snelling Ave., Ste. 200, Roseville, MN 55113. The clinic is scheduled to open March 22, 2021.
Nystrom s new outpatient clinic will serve all ages and will offer the Roseville Community and surrounding areas services for: Psychiatry/Medication Management, Therapy, Substance Use Disorder treatment (SUD), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS), and Children s Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS).

The Studio is getting far fewer no-shows for its therapy sessions for youth since the pandemic forced appointments online, while its virtual connections have “changed everything” for some young people struggling with issues at home and school.
Ren is one beneficiary of the new setup. Since coming out as trans and following a therapist’s referral last year, he had been dropping in for programs almost every day until life got busy recently. That’s despite living an hour away from the site just north of Yonge and Eglinton.
