India, Bangladesh agree to share intelligence to combat trans-border crimes
Guwahati, Dec 23 (UNI) Bangladesh and India have agreed to share the intelligence to combat trans-border crimes.
The decision was taken at the five-day India and Bangladesh Director General-level border talks which is underway in Guwahati.
In the meeting, both the sides have stressed on real-time exchange of information about the activities of the arms traders in both the countries in a bid to prevent the border crime, including smuggling of arms and ammunition.

GUWAHATI: The five-day 51st Director General-level talks between the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) commenced in Guwahati on Tuesday.
This is for the first time in four decades that the biannual conference is being held outside Delhi.
Official sources said both sides discussed issues such as development and infrastructure work, sharing of information, joint efforts for effective implementation of coordinated border management plans, confidence-building measures and various other border-related issues and reached solutions.

India And Bangladesh Hold 51st DG-Level Border Coordination Conference In Assam
As per reports, the meeting is said to conclude with the signing of a Joint Record of Discussions by both the Directors’ General of BSF and BGB.
India and Bangladesh on Tuesday kick-started the 51st Director-General Level Border Coordination Conference 2020. This is the first time that the Director-General Level talks between the two Border Guarding Forces (BGF) is being held in Guwahati, Assam.
The Indian BSF delegation is being led by DG BSF Rakesh Asthana, IPS while the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) led by the DG BGB Maj Gen Shafeenul Islam, BGBM (BAR) ndc, psc. Officials of the Indian Home Ministry and External Affairs Ministry will also be present from India s side. While Bangladesh would additionally be represented by officials from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Home Ministry, and Foreign Ministry.
