County Administrative Director Renee Obermueller explained more about the loan itself.
Library Director Cameron Duff said the loan will be paid back in five years through various funding sources, so the county won’t be liable for paying back any of the funds.
The commission voted to authorize the library to accept the $1.4 million

Lack of a quorum at Wednesday’s library board meeting means a special meeting will be needed before the month’s end.
Library Director Cameron Duff said a quorum will be needed to handle a library staffing matter.
Duff said the branch manager of the Tongue River Branch Library in Ranchester is retiring effective Dec. 31.
The board needs to authorize him to fill the position before that time, and the library board’s next regular meeting isn’t until Jan. 20. Duff said he will contact Shannon Anderson, who’s the library board chair, to determine if, and when, a special meeting can be called.
