For Aman Taidi, the idea that removing so-called non-Western immigrants like her will somehow improve Taastrupgaard is ridiculous.
The slightly run-down estate - which is officially branded a ghetto - is where she s lived all her life. However, the Danish government in March announced a controversial scheme to cut the number of minority-ethnic people in housing estates such as Taastrupgaard. I am very happy to live here and I cannot see myself living anywhere else, says Ms Taidi, a 25-year-old student, as she makes her way up the stairs out of the estate.
