In conjunction with the exhibit, The Maritime Aquarium is hosting a Nudibranch Photo Contest, which will run through April 23. The photo with the most online votes will win a one-year membership to any aquarium or zoo in the U.S accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA). Maritime Aquarium reveals what sea slugs can tell us

January 13, 2021 127 Discover the adaptations of animals from ocean reefs and freshwater streams and the important warnings they can tell us in “A Slug’s Life: Facing the Climate Endgame,” an exhibit that showcases live creatures with their representations in art, opening Saturday at the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk. The exhibit will be open through June 13 and is free with aquarium admission. Stars of the new exhibit are an order of mollusks called nudibranchs known for their striking forms and brilliant colors. Nicknamed “sea slugs,” nudibranchs occur in some 3,000 species in oceans all around the world. Some two dozen are found in Long Island Sound.
