Craig McDaniel from Columbia, South Carolina
Question: Hi Jim, as a Titans fan from the beginning born and raised in South Carolina, it s hard to believe this is my first time reaching out to you. I m really concerned that the Titans didn t do anything to address the defensive line in this draft. They had a terrible time getting any push and/or pressure last season. Have I missed any additions they ve made to the d-line so far this off season? It just seems to me that was a glaring need.

Despite “being close a couple of times,” according to general manager Jon Robinson, the Tennessee Titans did not address one of their biggest needs at an offensive skill position in the 2021 NFL Draft.
They added a pair of wide receivers on the third day with the selections of Dez Fitzpatrick (Louisville) in the fourth round, and Racey McMath (LSU) in the sixth round. However, they stood pat, at least for the time being, with players they currently have in the tight end room.
It was expected that the Titans would add a tight end at some point in the draft after Jonnu Smith, their No. 1 tight end from the past two seasons, signed a four-year deal with the Patriots in free agency. The Titans subsequently re-signed role players Anthony Firkser, who could produce more with a larger role, and Geoff Swaim,
What s In A Name? All You Need to Know About Racey McGrath
The Tennessee Titans sixth-round pick, a wide receiver out of LSU, earned his given name early and already knows one of his new teammates well.

Racey McMath. What a name.
But it’s not just some random moniker. It is one that has meaning and significance.
When his mother was pregnant with him, she decided that would be his name because he consistently moved around.
“It felt like he was just racing in my stomach, so we said, ‘Ok, that’s going to be his name – let’s call him Racey,’”
We heard rumblings about 24 hours before the first round that the Cardinals were likely to take Collins, though he was someone expected to go in the mid-to-late 20’s. Could they have traded back and landed him? Maybe. But his versatility combined with that of Isaiah Simmons and Budda Baker make this a tough defense to play against. Moore makes so much sense in the second round, as we still don’t know if Larry Fitzgerald will return. No matter what, he’s a perfect fit to play the slot in their offense. I liked Gowan better than Wilson, so getting him two rounds later saved their score a bit, as Wilson seemed like a bit of a reach. If there’s one thing I would’ve liked to see them do, it was to add a nose tackle seeing as many of them fell much further than expected.

Two wide receivers in the 2021 NFL Draft were not enough. The Tennessee Titans have added a veteran at that spot.
Fred Brown, who entered the NFL in 2017 as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State agreed to terms on a multi-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.
Brown played three seasons at Mississippi State before he was
dismissed from school for an undisclosed violation of the student honor code, which states I will conduct myself with honor and integrity at all times. I will not lie, cheat, or steal, nor will I accept the actions of those who do.”
