Detectives in Racine, Wisconsin, executed a search warrant at the home of 19-year-old Kya Nelson on Friday morning, arrested him and charged him with one count of first-degree terroristic threatening and two counts of second-degree terroristic threatening, according to Sgt. Andrew Wiggins with the Murray Police Department.

Nelson is charged with two counts of terroristic threatening, 2nd degree, related to the two phone calls about the active shooter, which are Class D felonies punishable by one to five years in a state penitentiary; and one count of terroristic threatening, 1st degree, for the bomb threat, which is a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in a state penitentiary. He’s being housed at the Racine County Jail, awaiting extradition.

(WTVF) — A 19-year-old in Wisconsin has been arrested in connection with a false shots fired call and bomb threat at Murray High School in Kentucky. The Murray Police Department said officers responded to the school for a shots fired call on Monday and a bomb threat on Tuesday. Both calls were deemed to be false. Police said they traced all of the phone calls related to the cases back to Kya Nelson, of Racine, Wisconsin. A search warrant was executed at his home Friday morning, and Nelson was taken into custody.
