Livestock report from the Oklahoma City Stockyards: Oklahoma Weekly Cattle Auction Summary Livestock Weighted Average Report for the week of Feb. 21 through Thursday. Receipts: 18,113; Last week: 664; Last year: 35,363 Compared to last week: Combined weighted average for 7 auctions: Ada, Apache, McAlester, OKC, OKC West, Tulsa, and Woodward. All cattle tested on light receipts. Feeder steers sold unevenly steady. Feeder heifers mostly steady to $2 higher. Steer and heifer calves were too lightly tested, but had instances of $5-$10 higher. Demand moderate for feeder cattle, good for calves. Warmer weather made its way across the trade region this week melting most of the snow. Conditions remain muddy in most areas.

Receipts: 34,616; Last week: 26,528; Last year: 19,122 Compared to last week: Combined weighted average for seven auctions: Ada, Apache, McAlester, OKC, OKC West, Tulsa, and Woodward. Feeder steers sold steady to $4 higher. Feeder heifers steady to $2 lower. Steer and heifer calves sold steady to $4 higher, instance of $10-$12 higher on heifer calves. Demand good. Spring like weather was present across the trade region this week, but a cold front is expected to move in next week bringing evening temperatures into the teens. Slaughter cows sold $1-$7

Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $4 lower. Steer calves steady to $3 higher. Heifer calves steady to $6 higher. Demand moderate. Many parts of the state are in muddy conditions after recent heavy snow and rain. Slaughter cows sold steady to $1 higher. Slaughter bulls steady to $5 higher. Packer demand good.
