Livestock Weighted Average Report for the week of Feb. 21 through Thursday.
Receipts: 18,113; Last week: 664; Last year: 35,363
Compared to last week: Combined weighted average for 7 auctions: Ada, Apache, McAlester, OKC, OKC West, Tulsa, and Woodward. All cattle tested on light receipts. Feeder steers sold unevenly steady. Feeder heifers mostly steady to $2 higher. Steer and heifer calves were too lightly tested, but had instances of $5-$10 higher. Demand moderate for feeder cattle, good for calves. Warmer weather made its way across the trade region this week melting most of the snow. Conditions remain muddy in most areas.

Compared to last week: Combined weighted average for seven auctions: Ada, Apache, McAlester, OKC, OKC West, Tulsa, and Woodward. Feeder steers sold steady to $4 higher. Feeder heifers steady to $2 lower. Steer and heifer calves sold steady to $4 higher, instance of $10-$12 higher on heifer calves. Demand good. Spring like weather was present across the trade region this week, but a cold front is expected to move in next week bringing evening temperatures into the teens. Slaughter cows sold $1-$7
