Image Source: IANS News Thiruvananthapuram, June 5 : The new Pinarayi Vijayan government that assumed office on May 20 has already made its intentions clear regarding the higher education sector in the state. Higher education in one of the most literate state is all set to undergo a large-scale revamp. What has brought cheer to the cadets and officials of the National Cadet Corps is that in all likelihood NCC will soon be integrated into the higher education curriculum. The Directorate General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), New Delhi, and the University Grants Commission (UGC) has written a letter to vice-chancellors of all universities on April 15, for the introduction of NCC as a General Elective Credit Course (GECC).

Jun 5, 2021 TERRE and EESL will work together to propose nation-wide projects, across educational institutes/campuses in India. These projects will transform the higher educational campuses in India into hubs for energy efficiency, renewable energy,  emission reduction and air-pollution abatement. All India Council of Technical Education ( AICTE) is supporting this much needed partnership. The virtual MoU signing ceremony took place in the august presence of  Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE,  Mr Saurabh Kumar, Executive Vice-Chairperson, EESL Group and Dr Rajendra Shende, Chairman, TERRE. They were joined by the University Vice Chancellors,  heads of educational institutes and international experts involved in the sustainability domain. The event was also graced by senior dignitaries of both these groups and other leading educational institutes.
