New Delhi: Ahead of next monthâs proposed India-European Union summit in Portugal, European Parliamentâs foreign affairs committee has called for both sides to work closely but also expressed concern over the âdeteriorating human rights situation in Indiaâ.
On April 13, the foreign affairs committee of the European Parliament adopted a report which has a set of recommendations on strengthening the bilateral relationship. New Delhi: While corona has caused a huge loss in the country s economy, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will hold a virtual discussion with Waldis Dombrovski, Vice President and Commissioner of Trade, European Commission, on 29 April, to boost Indo-European business. Keep in mind that this is their second meeting in the last three months. The first meeting took place on 5 February. The foundation of this discussion was laid at the 15th India-EU Leader s Summit held in July 2020, with the aim of creating a ministerial-level guidance committee for bilateral trade and investment relations. Following the talks at HLD, the Ministers emphasized the importance of global cooperation and solidarity after the corona round and agreed to further strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations.
