Varanasi: Tour operators and officials of the tourism department have discussed various issues related to the revival of domestic tourism keeping in view Covid-19 pandemic in Varanasi and adjoining districts.
“The UP Chapter of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) and India Tourism held a meeting on Friday afternoon to prepare a roadmap for the revival of domestic tourism in this region,” said tourist information officer Anil Kumar Singh.
“The members of IATO and tourism officials discussed in detail how to revive and promote domestic tourism at tourist hotspots along with the promotion of heritage tourism,” he added.
It was discussed to link important tourist spots like Chandraprabha Wildlife Sanctuary, Rajdari, Devdari and Lakhaniya Dari falls, hills of Vindhyachal, Chunar Fort, Vijaygarh Fort and Salkhan Fossils Park of Sonbhadra with mainstream tourism.
